I've been wanting some Stone Cold Fox clothing since they started years ago. The lace they use is absolutely stunning and it is made in the beautiful state of California. Grand Cayman was very hot and humid, but this dress is lightweight and airy. It's also the perfect coverup because it can be worn to the pool, a casual dinner, or dressed up for a date night at the beach! I tried milkmaid braids for the first time in the Caymans so I could have my hair up, but also wear a hat. For this look, I tried milkmaid fishtail braids and I loved them! What is your favorite beach hairstyle?
If you've seen Eugenia Kim's 'Do Not Disturb' Hat, chances are you want it as badly as I do. The $400 price tag, however is out of my league, so I decided to create my own! The good news is that this is an easy DIY project and perfect to wear on summer vacation or while lounging at the pool.
1. Straw Hat. I used this H&M Hat, but I also love this.
2. Sequin Trim
3. Hot Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
Sketch the letters on before gluing the sequin trim onto the hat.
1. Start by sketching the phrase onto the hat with your disappearing ink pen marker (see more ideas below!).
2. Using your hot glue gun, trace each letter, gluing 1" at a time.
3. Slowly press down the sequins onto the hot glue. Repeat until you have finished each word.
4. Wear your hat to the pool or beach and sip on a fruity cocktail!

Flower Friday was even better a few weeks ago when my hubby surprised me with these amazing floral print running shoes! We've been doing a lot of exploring in Seattle, so they were perfect to walk down to South Lake Union and look at all of the boats. We are loving Seattle so far, it's totally different than what we had expected and it's so beautiful!

Every year Mr. Jones and I go to California to visit with family and friends. This year we got to explore San Clemente and Laguna Beach before heading down to San Diego for the annual Beach Bocce Ball Tournament. The beaches in Laguna were absolutely breathtaking and even though we just moved to Seattle, I would move to Southern California tomorrow if we could! Hopefully we will be going back soon (hint, hint Mr. Jones)!

Mr. Jones and I take a trip to California every year and this year, we got to spend time in Laguna Beach. Skyler's aunt and uncle had us over for dinner and we got to enjoy each others company as the sun set. Everything about this evening was beautiful and I miss our California family already.

Last weekend, my friend Mary was in town from Milwaukee (come back!). It was so fun to hang out downtown and explore the market's delightful flower vendors, fresh fish, and delicious fruit. We had lunch at The Pink Door on their cheerful patio overlooking Elliott Bay. The food was delicious and it's always so much fun to catch up with my college girlfriends!
