The Fourth of July is already one of my favorite holidays, but you know what makes it even better?! When it's red, white and boozy! This weekend's festivities wouldn't be complete without a delicious adult beverage, and I've got a recipe for one that is guaranteed to impress your guests and packs a patriotic punch!

As some of you may know, Mr. Jones and I spent a blissful 8 days in Southern California for Christmas. It was so much fun and the weather is absolutely gorgeous. I mean, 65 and sunny during the "winter"?! #weathergoals! For the first time in FIVE years, Mr. Jones was able to spend Christmas with his entire family! It was an unforgettable holiday and I wanted to share some of my memories with you (and some super exciting news!) as well as some restaurants, hotels, and places to see in sunny SoCal!

California
Every year Mr. Jones and I go to California to visit with family and friends. This year we got to explore San Clemente and Laguna Beach before heading down to San Diego for the annual Beach Bocce Ball Tournament. The beaches in Laguna were absolutely breathtaking and even though we just moved to Seattle, I would move to Southern California tomorrow if we could! Hopefully we will be going back soon (hint, hint Mr. Jones)!

Kelly + Mick
In honor of Throwback Thursday, I wanted to share some photos from my younger brother's wedding on June 6th. The wedding venue, Polo Barns at Saxony, is in Lexington, Kentucky and it was absolutely beautiful. I am so happy to have another fabulous sister. Congratulations Mick and Kelly, I wish you a lifetime of happiness and laughter!

Not all photos are my own, thank you to all of my friends and family that shared their memories!

Christmas may be over, but New Year's Eve is just around the corner! I can't think of a more perfect occasion to wear this adorable t-shirt from T & J Designs. You can dress it up with sequin bottoms, dress it down with your favorite skinnies, and wear it again on a special day (or just to brunch)! It would also be a great gift for any bride-to-be or birthday girl. Either way, you'll be getting the party started in style! Cheers to a happy and healthy 2015!
Christmas Cocktails
Christmas is so soon, but it isn't too late to mix up some adorably delicious holiday cocktails! I created two cocktails that are easy to make and don't require many ingredients. I love a good craft cocktail, but I'll leave that to the real professionals at my favorite restaurants. I hope you enjoy them as much as Mr. Jones and I did!
MRS-tletoe:
For Cranberry Ice Cubes: Add 3-4 cranberries per ice cube, fill with water, freeze.
For Red Sugar Rim: Pour sugar out onto a plate. With a lime, lemon, or orange, coat the top of the mason jar with juice. Press the rim of the glass onto the sugar to rim the edge.
Pour 1.5 oz. Vodka over cranberry ice cubes.
Fill the rest of the glass with Sprite zero.
Add a splash of cranberry juice.
Santas Little Helper:
Ginger Ale Ice Cubes: Fill ice cube tray with ginger ale and freeze. Our favorite ginger ale is Ale-8-One!
(Optional) Red Sugar Rim: Pour sugar out onto a plate. With a lime, lemon, or orange, coat the top of the mason jar with juice. Press the rim of the glass onto the sugar to rim the edge.
Fill glass with ginger ale ice cubes (4-5 cubes max).
Pour bourbon over ice. Mr. Jones prefers Four Roses Bourbon.
Garnish with a few cranberries.
