Winter weather is in full swing here in Seattle and that means it's time to cozy up! The word 'cozy' might instantly make you think pajamas, but during the holiday season a girl's got lots of errands to run and parties to attend! Pj's on the couch probably aren't the best option for such occasions, so today I wanted to share with you some tips to stay cozy AND look chic this winter.
1. Cozy Knits
In a sweater like this one from Forever 21, you'll feel warm and comfy no matter what! You might even have a sweater like this in your closet already but if not, I also love this cable knit version in light blue.
2. Red Lips
Red lips add a pop of color and instantly elevate your look! This time of year, I switch between a classic red like Ruby Woo by Mac and this NARS lip pencil in 'Palais Royal.'
3. Top Knots
A top knot is elegant, classic, and very practical in the winter! Winter layers often create lots of static in your locks, so having your hair up is the perfect solution! It also allows you to add a nice pair of statement earrings to dress up your look even more.
4. Chic Shoes
A classic pair of pumps is something every girl should own! I opted for a wine pair with this ensemble, but a fun leopard pair would be an excellent alternative! If you're running errands and need something more functional, a pointed toe bootie with a wedge heel will do the trick!
I hope your holiday season is off to an excellent start! For more style inspiration, follow me on Instagram and Facebook. Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous week!
SUPERHERO STAPLES

Denim jackets possess many heroic characteristics just like Batman's cape. They're perfect for fighting off the chill on late summer nights, combat 'what to wear' dilemmas, and obviously have superfashion powers. Seriously though, denim jackets are a timeless piece that you will have in your closet for years to come. You can wear them with anything, even jeans (Canadian tuxedo, anyone?)!
I got this J.Crew Factory Denim Jacket in a lighter shade because most of my jeans are a dark wash. It certainly comes in handy for chilly nights in Seattle. Usually, I'll just tie it around my waist on the way out of the house and when the time is right, I put on my 'cape' and fly off into the sunset.
Have a great week, everyone!

This outfit is essentially a list of my favorite items. I wear this jacket constantly because it's comfortable, flattering, and lightweight, making it perfect to wear on those chilly spring mornings. I found a very similar jacket that is SO PERFECT for summer! I want it oh-so-bad, but I realize having two of almost the same jacket is a little silly (or is it?)! The Einstein mural is in Lexington's distillery district and one of my favorite murals ever. The artist is a creative genius if you ask me!
April 28

Today is my birthday! Thank you, Mom for bringing me into this big beautiful world. This is the first time in years that my birthday has been during Derby week and I couldn't be more excited! Mint Juleps and Derby Pie, anyone?
Getting Graphic

I am hooked on Old Navy's Pixie Pants! This season they come in so many trendy and fun prints making them simply irresistible. This windowpane pair caught my eye because I can easily mix them with other prints, but they also stand out when paired with a solid top. Windowpane prints are everywhere this season, let's just call it summer plaid, shall we?

Very Merry
We've all done it. We stop by Target to pick up a few things, and end up spending well over $100. That's exactly what happened on my last trip to Tar-jay, but how cute is this sweater?! It also comes in men's and both are now on sale. Happy Holiday shopping!
