One of the first things that Mr. Jones and I decided on with our modern kitchen remodel was that we wanted a microwave drawer in our island. We knew a couple of people who have this feature in their homes and we absolutely loved the idea. I was thrilled to work with SHARP on this project and am sharing all about their sleek microwave drawer in today’s post!

BENEFITS OF THE SHARP MICROWAVE DRAWER
The first and most obvious benefit is that the SHARP microwave drawer doesn’t have to be over the oven! Since we wanted our kitchen to look modern and streamlined, that definitely wasn’t the look we were going for. Another great benefit is that you can put the Sharp microwave drawer in the your island or even a walk-in pantry! We did have to have the concrete cut for electrical to be installed in the island, but we were planning on doing that for outlets anyhow. One other benefit that we absolutely love is that it’s easier to clean than a conventional microwave. Since ours it in the island, it’s much easier to reach. The buttons are also not on the front, the control panel flips down and because of that, the exterior of the microwave stays hand-print free! There is also no handle to clean since you open and close the microwave with a touch of a button. The buttons are matte black and very easy to clean as well. Since the microwave is mounted at a lower level, it’s also easy to open and stir dishes without removing them from the microwave.
FEATURES OF THE SHARP MICROWAVE DRAWER
Some other features of the SHARP microwave drawer that we love is the size of this microwave. The interior is large enough to fit a 4 quart casserole dish and tall enough for a 20 oz beverage! You also can nudge the microwave drawer closed if your hands are full and it will softly close. We also love the sensor re-heat option for leftovers. We cook chili every Sunday and it evenly heats our leftovers perfectly! With the re-heat option, there’s no guessing how many minutes to cook your leftovers, the microwave does the guess work for you.
WOULD I RECOMMEND THE SHARP MICROWAVE DRAWER?
I would 100% recommend the Sharp microwave drawer! Mr. Jones and I both love this microwave and use it daily. The sleek design alone is a major selling point and it looks amazing in our modern kitchen. I never thought I’d be able to say I had a beautiful microwave, but now I can! When we moved into our fixer upper, the laundry room wasn’t too high up on our list. However, after the 1980’s washer flooded half of the house, we changed our minds!
