We are finally getting settled in our new home and slowly filling it up with furniture and decor we love! We are completely changing the style of our home decor, so it’s a little bit overwhelming at first. Our previous condo was more traditional with a lot of vintage pieces and a french industrial vibe. Since our new home is very modern and clean, we are decorating with more modern pieces, but mixing textures to make it cozy. In today’s post I’m sharing my vision board for our modern living room that I have been working on FOREVER. I hope you like it!

A little over a year ago, we decided to replace the horrific laminate flooring in our home.  It was yellow, it was cheap, it was peeling, it was just straight up UG-LY.  We decided to install luxury vinyl planks (aka LVP) because we knew several people who had and loved it, it’s durable, etc.  In today’s post I want to highlight the pros and cons of this flooring after living with it for the past year.  I’m also sharing some tips on how to pick the right color for your home, too!

In our very first home we were lucky (or unlucky depending on how you look at it) to have beautiful marble countertops in the kitchen and both bathrooms.  It was definitely a selling point when we bought our home and we really love how they look however, over the past two years we’ve noticed that they aren’t just good looking.  Marble countertops have a lot of pros and cons and I’m going over all of them in today’s post.  If you’re remodeling or thinking about making the switch yourself, I hope this post is helpful to you!

Right before listing our home for sale, I wanted to spruce up our master bedroom.  It was one of the rooms in our house I had neglected after getting our furniture and never truly finished it, so that was my main priority before taking photos of our home.  Since we moved in, Mr. Jones and I have decided we want to transition our décor from traditional to modern, so right now we’re mixing the two.  It isn’t easy to mix traditional and modern pieces, but today I’m going to share some tips with you that helped me to redecorate our bedroom in a “transitional” style that we love!
