I swapped a few items out in our entryway and it’s ready for summer! Last year I bought this rattan console from Target and at the time it didn’t come in black. I bought myself a paint sprayer and sprayed the entire piece (read more about that here). It now comes in black but it’s often sold out, so in today’s post I also shared a way to style the natural color-way!
The vintage suitcases next to the console we’ve had for years. When we lived in studio apartments in Seattle we had little to no storage, so we always used these! They actually still have Christmas decor and seasonal things in them because I’m scared to put them in our attic. I love how they can soften a really modern look and give it that world traveler vibe without the Louis Vuitton trunk price tag. If you can’t find a vintage trunk, I love this one from PB teen! I got the planter at Lowe’s and spray painted it black, but I also love this sphere planter. I have the cement color in both sizes and the faux olive tree in the larger one.

It’s that time of year- back to school! I’ll be honest, I get a little sad and nostalgic when it comes to BTS. Another school year means our kids are growing older but it also makes me think of those first day of school jitters and excitement. What it also makes me think of is all of the back to school supplies! I LOVED shopping for school supplies and checking off my list. Filling my desk or locker with all of the goodies- it was so fun! This year I thought- why have I stopped doing this for myself?! I don’t need a whole list of items but it’s a great time to stock up on some home office essentials and re-organize my space to meet the needs of my growing business! So that’s exactly what I did at Walmart!
