First things first, MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE'S EVE!  Can you believe that the big day is almost here?!  Me either, and that's why I wanted to share one of my favorite shoots from this year with you!  

These photos are from when I was in Kentucky a couple of weeks ago, and my mom and I had SO MUCH FUN frolicking around the Christmas tree lot.  My lovely little sister made a bunch of paper snowflakes and what better way to have a white Christmas if there isn't any snow in the forecast?!  

I've professed my love for army green jackets before here, and when I found this hooded Calvin Klein number, I knew it had to be in my wardrobe.  The genuine leather trim adds a chic touch and the hood is perfect for those extra cold nights.  I'm also a sucker for anything in UK blue and was so excited when I found this infinity scarf and pom pom beanie at American Eagle!  I'm sure these accessories will be in heavy rotation for our first winter in Seattle.

Christmas is only three days away and it's time to start packing!  I'm going to California to spend Christmas with Mr. Jones' family for a week and I'm super excited. This outfit will be coming along with me because the bright red sweater is so festive and cozy too.  

Packing can be really overwhelming for a long trip, especially with bulky winter clothes.  Over the years, Mr. Jones and I have created a packing list template that we use to make sure we have the right outfits for every occasion and don't forget anything important.  Since this checklist has become so routine for us, I wanted to share it with you!  Below, I started to fill one out so you can see how I use it.  You can download the PDF here!

I'll be honest, I haven't worn velvet since my 4th grade orchestra concert but when I saw this Topshop Bardot top, I had to have it.  The blue jewel tone is absolutely gorgeous and it's perfect for the holidays!  

When I was deciding what to wear with this top, I thought it would be fun to pair it with a pencil skirt so that you can incorporate something from your work wardrobe!  Another option would be to pair this top with a black plaid pixie pant or wide leg wool pant.  

Although this off the shoulder top might not be appropriate for the office, all you have to do is change tops after work and you're party ready!  The Topshop version might be sold out by the time you read this post, but I have linked similar versions below (and a cozy sweater variation too)!

'Tis the season for sequins and sparkle!  This year we will be spending NYE in California and I am SO EXCITED!  Just the thought of not having to plan for frigid weather while wearing a cute outfit is a major plus.  If you are going to be somewhere that is really cold to ring in the new year, no worries!  You can always add a chic faux fur jacket, faux fur stole, or a nice blanket scarf to your look to stay warm.  

I've worn sequin body-con sequin dresses in the past, but this year I'm really digging the hemline of this Dress the Population frock!  It's funny because I actually avoided mid-length hems up until now,  thinking that they wouldn't flatter someone who is shorter (5'5" on a good day).  I have to say, I was absolutely wrong and I love the way this dress fits!  NYE is definitely the perfect occasion to rock a body-con dress and this long sleeve version would be great for colder weather!  

For my hair, I wanted to try something different and create an old Hollywood look.  To do this, I used the same 1" curling iron as always and wrapped my hair around the curling iron toward the front of my face (usually I wrap it away from my face).  After you curl all of your hair, gently brush through the curls to blend them together and make sure to finish it with a good hairspray!  There is a great tutorial for this look here!

When I saw this skirt at Anthropologie, I just knew it would be perfect for the holidays!  Not only is it beautiful, but it's a nice length for cold weather.  My favorite statement necklace went perfect with this outfit and gives it a pop of holiday glamour.  This is one of my favorite holiday outfits so far because the print on the skirt paired with a cobalt blue sweater aren't your typical Christmas party go-to's.  Have you started checking off your Christmas shopping list yet?!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I LOVE the color wine!  Even though the Pantone colors for 2016 have been announced already, I'm still stuck on the color of 2015!  It's perfect for the holiday season and I absolutely love the way this wine on wine ensemble turned out.  

Wearing a monochromatic ensemble can be tricky, but when the pieces are similar in color, texture plays an important role.  To pull off a one-color outfit, you want to make sure that each piece has a different texture.  For instance, if you want to rock a winter white look, pair sleek white jeans with a chunky knit sweater and wah-lah!

I've also confessed my love for moto jackets and this one is no different.  The jacket with removable faux fur is sold out, but this one is almost identical!  I've been wearing this jacket non-stop and I'm itching to get another color.  I'll definitely be wearing this outfit again whether it's on date night, a casual holiday party, or even paired with some swiss dot tights.  Either way, I'll probably enjoy a glass of red simultaneously...cheers!

Sometimes you just need a wear anywhere kind of dress and my friends, this Knotted Knit Dress is it!  You can dress it up for a holiday party, or dress it down with tights, boots, and a chunky cardigan.  The skirt portion of the dress is also lined, so it isn't super thin.  This is amazing because let's face it, sometimes thin jersey dresses just don't feel right on the booty!  

The red Longchamp bag I'm carrying has a bow on it because it's also on my Gift Guide For Her and if you ask me, it's one of the best gifts out there!  I use mine all of the time for so many occasions!  So tell me, what is number one on your wish list this year?!
