MAD FOR PLAID
I'm a sucker for plaid in the fall and this top from Old Navy is the perfect transition piece while it's still warm. True to Seattle weather, it started raining while I was taking these photos but luckily I was wearing my new floppy hat! Since it has been cooler in the evenings, I threw on my favorite J.Crew Factory cords to complete my look. I'm so excited for fall, what about you?
KENTUCKY ADVENTURES
When in Kentucky, I was lucky enough to be able to spend some time exploring The Falls of The Ohio and it was SO COOL! I wore these fab Hunter boots so I could splash around in the water and skip some rocks. Suede skirts are on trend for fall, but they're also the perfect summer to fall transition piece! I'll definitely be wearing this for months to come.
Have a happy happy Labor Day Weekend!
Thank you, Ashton for snapping these photos.
YOU DESERVE A DONUT
I'm in Louisville, Kentucky for work and have always wanted to try Nord's Bakery. Their famous maple bacon donut was indeed the most delicious pastry I've yet to try, and the bakery itself is nothing short of adorable. My friend Lindsay from Sprinkles for Breakfast sent me this awesome 'Doughnuts Over Everything' tee and it was perfect for the occasion! If you're in Louisville, put this yummy bakery at the top of your to-do list!
Thank you, Ashton for snapping these photos! Check her out here.
Doxahlogy
Nashville might be known for country music and honky tonks, but there are also really great designers here! Doxahlogy is a unique line of jewelry handmade right here in Music City. Danica creates unique pieces using vintage finds and gorgeous natural stones that I just can't get enough of. Who doesn't love supporting local artists and small businesses? The best part is that you can order online from her site here! Happy Friday!

Little Blue Dress
Dress it up, dress it down, it's the perfect wardrobe essential...the little blue dress! This particular piece is one of my favorite closet staples. I purchased this cobalt frock a couple of years ago for the Kentucky Derby and have worn it countless times since then. For cold weather, it pairs nicely with a tweed draped cardigan, over-the-knee boots, and my beloved vintage necklace. In the summer, I like to wear it with strappy sandals and my hair up in a top-knot. What would you wear with your LBD?

Music City Sunset
Nashville hasn't seen a lot of sunshine lately, so days like this make me one happy girl. This town is absolutely beautiful at sunset, providing the perfect backdrop for my Music City inspired ensemble. Have a happy weekend!
American Girl
Nashville has been so cold lately and I don't know what I would have done without this amazing faux fur coat! My mom surprised me with the coat and this adorable American flag infinity scarf for Christmas (thanks, Mom!). The temperatures here are supposed to rise this weekend, but until then I will be bundled up in this fluffy coat. Have a happy and (hopefully) warm Tuesday!
University of Kentucky
I was born and raised a UK Wildcats fan in Lexington, Kentucky. Both Mr. Jones and I went to different universities (I am a proud graduate of the University of Cincinnati DAAP program), however we remain devoted to our home team. This explains why this vintage Kentucky sweater is indeed the most coveted item in my closet. Not only is it a rare find, but I get compliments on it all of the time! Since stumbling upon this unique piece of Wildcat history, I have been on the lookout for a similar varsity sweater that would fit Mr. Jones. I haven't found one yet, but that doesn't mean I can't make one! Below you will find a list of items to make your own varsity cardigan. If you aren't keen on sewing the patch on yourself, take the cardigan and patch to your local tailor for a small fee. If you create your own varsity cardigan, tag @meandmr.jones on instagram, I would love to see how you show your school spirit!
