I’m still working on ideas for our powder bathroom, but I wanted to share some of my inspiration and a mood board here! I am LOVING marble checkerboard flooring, it can look traditional, whimsical, or modern depending on how the room is put together. Keep reading to see all of the inspo!

My biggest wishlist item is checkerboard floors! Since our bathroom is smaller, I’d love to use 4” marble tiles. I plan on adding some moulding to the walls and painting everything black. Instead of finding a mirror that pairs perfectly with the vanity I ordered, I think I might get a piece of glass cut and add trim around it- what do you think?! The bottom half of the wall could either have a chair rail detail or this amazing marble subway tile. The top row would have a brass line through it- isn’t that neat?!
We will be ripping up the flooring later this summer when my mom comes back to Florida and I cannot wait! In the meantime, I’ll be anxiously awaiting this vanity and faucet that will flow with the rest of our home decor seamlessly. I also ordered wallpaper samples- the bumblebee one is my favorite!
