Our home in California was absolutely amazing. We loved the layout of the kitchen so much as it was unique and SO functional when we had family and friends over! Our kitchen was quite long with ample storage, so instead of having an island that would cover the beautiful custom cabinetry, there was room for an enormous dining table instead! The countertops were marble and because marble is so sensitive, we got a modern looking 12 foot table in a rustic reclaimed oak so that we could use the table instead of the countertops. One of my favorite parts of this kitchen was the marble waterfall countertop on the peninsula that divided the kitchen from the living area. It was stunning! This kitchen was what sold us on the house immediately, we even put in an offer on the house without me seeing it in person! Everything was top of the line and really well thought out. We were so lucky to get this house after searching for what seemed like forever!
KITCHEN UPGRADES I LOVED //
BLUM PUSH TO OPEN DRAWER SYSTEM
This was in a few of my tiktok’s you may have seen! This device makes opening your trash drawer as simple as lightly touching it! If both of your hands are dirty from cooking, you can gently bump it with your knee. It does have to be wired to a plug (ours was the garbage disposal plug since there was no garbage disposal).
THERMADOR APPLIANCES //
Before moving into this house, I didn’t think high end appliances were really worth the investment. I couldn’t have been more wrong. The range in our home is not only a beautiful statement piece, but it’s also super functional when we have large gatherings! Even on weeknights when I’m cooking one thing for Jett, I can use the smaller oven. The refrigerator held everything we needed with plenty of space to spare and I loved how seamlessly it fit with the cabinetry that surrounded it. The dishwasher was also incredible and had 3 racks, 2 regular ones and a rack at the very top for your silverware! It was so great!
UNIQUE CORNER CABINETS //
The corner cabinet to the left of our range was amazing because it had a plug inside of it. This allowed for me to have a small cordless vacuum handy and charged at all times. Perfect for when you have a toddler than thinks most of his food belongs on the floor! The corner cabinet to the right of the sink had an incredible wire rack that allowed you to utilize the entire cabinet. It was comprised of two shelves, one would come all the way out and slide over so that the second (in that space that no one ever uses) could come out! See this tiktok video for a better idea.

It’s that time of year- back to school! I’ll be honest, I get a little sad and nostalgic when it comes to BTS. Another school year means our kids are growing older but it also makes me think of those first day of school jitters and excitement. What it also makes me think of is all of the back to school supplies! I LOVED shopping for school supplies and checking off my list. Filling my desk or locker with all of the goodies- it was so fun! This year I thought- why have I stopped doing this for myself?! I don’t need a whole list of items but it’s a great time to stock up on some home office essentials and re-organize my space to meet the needs of my growing business! So that’s exactly what I did at Walmart!
