From Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas candy, holiday travel, and a packed social calendar, it might be tough to squeeze in time to hit the gym. There are 38 days between Thanksgiving and The New Year, and we should make the most of them! That's only 5 weeks and today I'm giving you 5 tips to stay fit during the holidays- we can do it!
1. DO SOMETHING ACTIVE EVERY DAY
A lot of us will be taking time off of work to spend time with family and friends, which means we're probably going to skip the gym altogether. Instead of worrying about a workout, just be mindful to stay active; take the stairs, go on a family walk, or just do 15 squats every time you have to use the ladies room (it seriously adds up)!
2. WORKOUT INDOORS OR AT HOME
If you'll be traveling and don't have access to a gym- not to worry! There are plenty of workouts you can do in the comfort of your own home (or hotel room)! Check out this short cardio workout and this cardio/full body workout perfect for those staying in hotel rooms!
3. DRINK PLENTY OF WATER

4. PORTION CONTROL
This might be the hardest tip of all, especially on Thanksgiving but is the most important one of all. Just don't go back for seconds and if really really want some pumpkin pie, then just take a tiny slice. All of these little things add up, keep that in mind over those 38 days!
5. AVOIDING SWEETS
All of those baked goods and special treats your co-workers are bringing to work sure do look delicious, don't they?! If you can help yourself try not to indulge because once you do, it can be a slippery slope and you'll be regretting all of those Christmas cookies come January 1!
