MODERN HOLIDAY TABLESCAPE // CHRISTMAS 2021

This year we are hosting Thanksgiving! We’ve hosted before but it was shortly after we had moved into our home in California so it was definitely a paper plate and sit on the sofa ordeal. W didn’t even have dining chairs- ha! This year I am SO excited to have family coming in town. I’ve always dreamed of creating a fancy tablescape for the holidays and now I finally get to do it! I’m sharing all of the details of our holiday place settings and you can shop everything here too!

I wanted to keep things simple, but I just got so excited and it wound up being kind of extravagant. You definitely don’t need this many items for each place setting, but if you want it to be bougie go for it! I buy the mini Diptyque candles every year during the NSale and thought that would be such a cute gift for each guest. For the napkins, I flipped them upside down, folded in 1/3 of the top and 1/3 of the bottom, and then folded it in thirds. Then I wrapped it with the striped ribbon and added a piece of greenery. It’s really simple but it makes a statement! Shop everything below and have a great time!

FAUX CHRISTMAS TREE PLANTER POT //

Last year I put our Christmas tree in this sphere planter and y’all went wild! This year I plan on doing the same thing. I love the modern and sleek look of the Christmas tree in a planter and it’s easier to pile up gifts around it. It also makes your tree taller! Instead of a 9’ tree, I got a 7.5’ tree and put it in the sphere planter! You end up needing less ribbon and tree trimmings too which is a win for your budget. This year I wanted to switch things up and add a pop of red to my normal black & white color scheme for Christmas. These red disco balls are so much fun and I love adding a little bit of red to each package! The Burberry inspired ribbon pulled it all together and I love how it turned out! CHRISTMAS COOKIE RECIPE //

Growing up we made Christmas cookies every year and still carry-on the tradition with our kids! The Christmas cookie recipe came from the back of a cookie cutter box and it is absolutely delicious! Luckily our neighbor saved the recipe and I wanted to share it with y’all so you too can make these yummy Christmas cookies. I love to individually package them for teachers in a nice basket with gift cards or gift to our neighbors and friends, too!
