Technically Jett is 2.5 months (cry face), but I wanted to post this as he's already changed so much! I've had a lot of questions about his feeding/sleep schedule too, so I'm spilling all of the details in this post. Keep reading for all of the details!
LIKES:
Not much has changed in this department, our big boy still loves to eat! Starting around 6 weeks he began to eat at scheduled times throughout the day which is really nice.
This month he started to like being in an upright position when he is awake. He loves being propped up in a sitting position on the couch like a big boy! He has really great head control and loves just looking around. He’s so big he already fits into the Uppababy rumble seat that came with his stroller so I think we will start using that soon!
So far, he loves the beach! We got this amazing tent for him to lay under and we love it. Skyler calls it “Jett’s cabana” and I also sit under there to feed him.
He also loves his play gym and has started to really notice the toys. He smiles at them and coos it is just the cutest thing ever!
DISLIKES:
Pretty much the same as last month. He hates when we use the Nose Frida and wipe his nose. He’s such a good baby, y’all! I feel like he just adapts to everything so well and he's always smiling. We are truly blessed.
MILESTONES:
At 6 weeks, Jett has his first round of vaccinations and he did so good! He let out a little yelp during the first one and after that, went right back to sleep. It was actually kind of incredible, both the nurse and I were very surprised!
This same week his cousin and future best friend was born! My husband Skyler’s twin brother, Zach and his wife Madison had little Ford just 6 weeks after we had Jett. I’m so excited they get to grow up together!
Jett is always smiling, but he has now started to smile at everyone and not just his mommy! It makes my day when Skyler comes home and Jett gives him big smiles.
At 7 weeks, he attended his first party for his aunts Stone Cold Fox store opening at Lido Village! We had so much fun, he slept the whole time but I’m sure he will appreciate me telling him one day that his first party was filled with lots of California babes! Ha!
SLEEP:
Since he got on a schedule at 6 weeks, he’s been sleeping through the night! He goes down by 8:45/9pm, I give him a dream feed at 11pm and he sleeps until about 7-7:30 am! I don’t worry too much about his naps throughout the day. Sometimes he naps well, sometimes he doesn’t. So far it hasn’t affected his sleep at night.
FEED:
Like I mentioned earlier, Jett is now on a pretty solid feeding schedule. He eats whenever he wakes up (usually 7-7:30am), and then at 10 am and every 2.5 hours after that. We are flexible with the schedule and don’t fret if he needs to eat 30 minutes earlier or later. Usually we can stretch his feedings to 3 hours apart by giving him a paci when he gets a little fussy.
His last feeding is at 8pm and he typically goes down for the night by 8:45pm. After that, I pump a 4oz bottle and leave it on the table by his rocking chair for his dream feed. I try to go to sleep by 9:15 and set an alarm for 11pm to get up and do his dream feed. For the dream feed, I just gently pick him up out of his crib, lay him on the boppy on my lap, and feed him a bottle in his sleep. This feed helps him sleep through the night and I’ll continue to do it until he starts eating solids and can sleep through the night without it.
I'm sure I forgot something, so if you have any questions just let me know! Thank y'all so much for stopping by today!
Xo,
Haley
