Mixing feminine and edgy pieces is the ultimate way to create street chic outfits. You can also shake things up and toughen a feminine look or soften an edgy one! Either way, there are a few tips to rock these two styles in one look and today I'm giving you the best ways to add a dose of rock n' roll edge to your girly getup for an effortless glam look!
WHO DO YOU WANT TO BE?
First things first; decide on the overall vibe of your outfit. Do you want to feel girly, pretty, and Blair-Waldorf-y? Or do you want to give off some rocker babe vibes? The choice is yours, girlfriend!
FEMININE OR EDGY?
If you want an overall feminine look with a dash of edge, go with mostly feminine pieces and one edgy piece that packs some punch. Take my outfit today for example; the lace top, ghillie flats, and structured bag are all feminine and light. My one edgy piece is the destroyed denim and when paired with all of the girly pieces, the overall look is still feminine but becomes more interesting and unexpected!
KEEP IT LIGHT
If you want to keep your look flirty and ladylike, your best bet is to stick with a lighter color palette. Darker tones will naturally lean towards the edgier side of the style spectrum, so save those for next week when you want to be more rock n' roll!
