TIP 1 // USE DOWN FEATHER INSERTS FOR PILLOWS
Using feather filled pillow inserts for your affordable pillow covers makes a dramatic difference. The fluffiness of a feather pillow instantly elevates the look and if it gets smushed over time, you can always fluff it back up. Another plus to feather pillow inserts is that you can buy all of the pillow covers your heart desires and they’re much easier to store!
TIP 2 // USE FLUFFY INSERTS FOR YOUR DUVET COVERS
I prefer down filled duvet inserts, but this one is affordable and it has really good reviews. A fluffy duvet insert will fill out your duvet so there aren’t any spots where the duvet is empty. It also looks better when you roll the duvet down like I show in this video here.
TIP 3 // IRON YOUR PILLOWCASE SHAMS
I typically iron my pillow shams before putting them onto the pillows. I always take the pillow shams off of the bed at night so they don’t get wrinkled up. Having nice crisp shams make them look 10 times better!
TIP 4 // STEAM OUT WRINKLES IN YOUR DUVET COVER
I always use a steamer to get any wrinkles out of our duvet cover. Unfortunately even when I get it out of the dryer it has a few wrinkles here and there and steaming it after I put it on the bed is way easier! If I have the time, I iron it but that’s a rare occasion! This steamer is so amazing and I’ve had mine for years. It’s easily refilled and it doesn’t leak!
I hope these tips are helpful to you, happy styling!
