This look is from our last night at The Beloved Hotel in Mexico (take me back!). We spent the entire day at the beach and the pool, soaking up all of the sun we could and drinking a few too many frozen beverages. On vacation days like these, what you packed in your suitcase is key and an easy dress like this one is just what the doctor ordered.
Since we didn't have much time to get ready, doing my hair wasn't an option so I just left it wet and threw it up in a top knot. Seriously, this is THE easiest hairstyle ever! My hair is really thick and is surprisingly easier to put into a top knot when it's wet. I just put my hair up in a pony tail, then use another thick elastic to secure my bun. That's it! It was super windy our entire trip, so having my hair up was not only easy but also saved me time the next day when I had to brush my hair!
Speaking of windy weather, another style tip I wanted to share with you guys is wearing shorts under your dresses/skirts when it's breezy! Back when Skyler and I lived in downtown Nashville, there were these giant grates in the sidewalks that would create some serious Marylin Monroe moments. While that might be great for a photo opp, it isn't when everyone on Broadway sees it! Ever since then, I've always worn lightweight shorts like these cute lace trimmed ones under my dresses just so I don't have to worry about holding my dress down the entire time I'm outside. It's easy, affordable, and you can wear them with a cute t-shirt too!
