I have had this faux suede dress for quite some time and absolutely love wearing it in the fall and winter months. Faux suede dresses are great because they are less expensive than the real deal and way easier to care for. They can be dressed up or down, worn with tights or without, and are perfect for these hot "fall" days! I've linked three different options that are equal parts darling and versatile, which one is your favorite?
BACK TO BASICS
I love a basic piece that has an unexpected design element like this split back Sam Edelman shirt! It is still a crisp white top but the back gives it some added interest and takes it from boring to fabulous! The same goes for these amazing Seychelle boots that have the perfect heel height. Find more of my favorite fall booties in this post!
THE BOW BLOUSE
I cannot tell you how excited I am that the bow blouse is back! I've been waiting years for this to happen and as fate would have it, I found the perfect vintage bow blouse this spring right before we moved from Nashville (and for only $12!). Fashion trends come and go, and this is one of the reasons I love vintage. You can find pieces that are on trend for half the price! This season, the 70s are back in a big way and lucky for us, you can always find some groovy pieces at your local vintage shop or thrift store. My bag and sunnies are also vintage, but I've linked some similar items for you to check out.
Have a fabulous weekend!
RED, RED WINE
THE COLOR OF FALL
This fall is all about rich wine colored clothing and accessories. Whether you just have a pop of Marsala or wear it from head to toe, both will pair nicely with a glass of red! It also happens to be a beautiful nail color, I love Sally Hansen's 'wine stock' Miracle Gel nail polish. I'm also eyeing this Rebecca Minkoff tote in a delicious shade of 'port,' I just can't get enough of this seasons it color. Cheers!
FALL'S BEST BOOTIES
MAD FOR PLAID
I'm a sucker for plaid in the fall and this top from Old Navy is the perfect transition piece while it's still warm. True to Seattle weather, it started raining while I was taking these photos but luckily I was wearing my new floppy hat! Since it has been cooler in the evenings, I threw on my favorite J.Crew Factory cords to complete my look. I'm so excited for fall, what about you?
VANCOUVER SEAWALL
Mr. Jones and I took a little road trip to Vancouver for Labor Day weekend with my brother and sister in-law. We stayed downtown and decided to rent bikes to explore the city along the Seawall. The weather was absolutely perfect and Vancouver is definitely one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to! Along the way, we stopped at Cactus Club Cafe for some refreshments (sangria, anyone?!). This leather backpack fit everything I needed for the day, and the quilted leather is so effortlessly chic. I hope you enjoyed your Labor Day weekend as much as we did!
KENTUCKY ADVENTURES
When in Kentucky, I was lucky enough to be able to spend some time exploring The Falls of The Ohio and it was SO COOL! I wore these fab Hunter boots so I could splash around in the water and skip some rocks. Suede skirts are on trend for fall, but they're also the perfect summer to fall transition piece! I'll definitely be wearing this for months to come.
Have a happy happy Labor Day Weekend!
Thank you, Ashton for snapping these photos.
