'Tis the season for sequins and sparkle!  This year we will be spending NYE in California and I am SO EXCITED!  Just the thought of not having to plan for frigid weather while wearing a cute outfit is a major plus.  If you are going to be somewhere that is really cold to ring in the new year, no worries!  You can always add a chic faux fur jacket, faux fur stole, or a nice blanket scarf to your look to stay warm.  

I've worn sequin body-con sequin dresses in the past, but this year I'm really digging the hemline of this Dress the Population frock!  It's funny because I actually avoided mid-length hems up until now,  thinking that they wouldn't flatter someone who is shorter (5'5" on a good day).  I have to say, I was absolutely wrong and I love the way this dress fits!  NYE is definitely the perfect occasion to rock a body-con dress and this long sleeve version would be great for colder weather!  

For my hair, I wanted to try something different and create an old Hollywood look.  To do this, I used the same 1" curling iron as always and wrapped my hair around the curling iron toward the front of my face (usually I wrap it away from my face).  After you curl all of your hair, gently brush through the curls to blend them together and make sure to finish it with a good hairspray!  There is a great tutorial for this look here!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I LOVE the color wine!  Even though the Pantone colors for 2016 have been announced already, I'm still stuck on the color of 2015!  It's perfect for the holiday season and I absolutely love the way this wine on wine ensemble turned out.  

Wearing a monochromatic ensemble can be tricky, but when the pieces are similar in color, texture plays an important role.  To pull off a one-color outfit, you want to make sure that each piece has a different texture.  For instance, if you want to rock a winter white look, pair sleek white jeans with a chunky knit sweater and wah-lah!

I've also confessed my love for moto jackets and this one is no different.  The jacket with removable faux fur is sold out, but this one is almost identical!  I've been wearing this jacket non-stop and I'm itching to get another color.  I'll definitely be wearing this outfit again whether it's on date night, a casual holiday party, or even paired with some swiss dot tights.  Either way, I'll probably enjoy a glass of red simultaneously...cheers!

Sometimes you just need a wear anywhere kind of dress and my friends, this Knotted Knit Dress is it!  You can dress it up for a holiday party, or dress it down with tights, boots, and a chunky cardigan.  The skirt portion of the dress is also lined, so it isn't super thin.  This is amazing because let's face it, sometimes thin jersey dresses just don't feel right on the booty!  

The red Longchamp bag I'm carrying has a bow on it because it's also on my Gift Guide For Her and if you ask me, it's one of the best gifts out there!  I use mine all of the time for so many occasions!  So tell me, what is number one on your wish list this year?!

Party season is upon us, but you don't always need to buy a new dress or outfit!  I've had this cute little BCBG number for awhile and have worn it before, but it looks completely different when paired with my white bow blouse.  Re-wearing a dress isn't always exciting, but the bow blouse completely changes the look and the dress doesn't even look the same.  I've linked the white version and many more below (and might have the red one in my shopping cart)!  

One other way you can re-wear your holiday frock from last year is to wear it under a full skirt!   I've done this a lot with my sequin dresses from last year's NYE and it's the best way to update your look but not spend too much money.  This leather midi skirt would also be a fabulous choice and is on sale!

This dress immediately caught my eye while browsing the pages of Nordstrom.com because it's classic, the ruffle detail on the sleeves is adorable, and you can also wear it to work!  This shade of red is perfect for the holidays too, especially when paired with a gorgeous statement necklace like this one.  Looking party ready never felt so easy, cheers to that!

This might be my favorite dress EVER!  That is a strong statement, but it's so perfect for beautiful fall days like this one.  The length is also just right to wear with boots like these and it shows the perfect amount of leg.  

I belted this dress with my mom's brass nameplate belt because you know how much I love to accentuate the waist!  This belt is so special to me because it has her maiden name initials on it, long before any of us kids were in the picture!  I also have one of my dads nameplate belts and it's one of my greatest treasures.  These belts are everywhere in Kentucky and you can shop them here.  It's my favorite Kentucky tack shop and all items are hand made with love.

This JOA Lace Body-Con dress caught my eye not only because it's beautiful, but also because it's a classic dress that can be worn over and over again!  It's not just a pretty lace dress for date nights and weddings, you can dress it down too.  I could go on for days about ways to wear this dress, but I'll stick with my top three!

1.  Just the dress and a nice pair of bright red pumps and a statement necklace. (I also love these blue pumps!)

2.  With black booties, a  leather moto jacket, and a cute hat.

3.  With a chic sweater and lady like booties.  

My sister's french bulldog puppy, Gus, helped me model these looks.  How adorable is he?!  I found a plaid harness similar to the one he is rocking here!
