My mom is getting married in September and when I brought up the idea of a bachelorette she was hesitant. My mom and dad were married over 20 years before he passed, but she got married young and never did any of the “silly stuff” we do now. After some convincing, she was up for a party and we were all SO excited to have a girls trip without kids! We had SO MUCH FUN in Key West! If you’re looking for a destination with lots to do but also a tropical feel, a Key West bachelorette party is perfect for you! In today’s post I’m sharing where to stay in Key West, our itinerary, and the best places to go for a Key West bachelorette party!
807 Elizabeth Street. Historic Key West Vacation Rentals.
WHERE WE STAYED //
The first thing we did was book a home through Historic Key West Vacation Rentals. Their staff was so friendly and so helpful! The home was at 807 Elizabeth street and it was absolutely stunning. The decor was cozy and vibrant, the backyard was breathtaking, and it had everything we needed and more! We did rent a golf cart through Blue Sky Rentals and it was the best idea ever! It was so awesome to get to drive around and see everything on the island (not to mention I’m still healing from my surgery a month ago). I also heard really good things about Minty’s golf cart rental. Either way, a golf cart was a way better way of transportation than walking although parking is sometimes hard to find and can get pricey.
Frozen drinks from a juice stand next to Sushi Song on Duval St.
Durty Harry’s on Duval has the best Bloody Mary’s!
Shops across from Blue Heaven. The Blue Marlin had great souvenirs and super cute clothing for women, men and kids!
We all got matching bracelets at Ballerina Jewelers on Duval St.
Poolside sushi from Seagrass was so delicious!
Cuban Coffee Queen has breakfast and delicious coffee!
We got Key Lime pie everywhere we went. This was at Blue Heaven.
The Green Parrot is a famous Key West bar and pours a very large mimosa!
The last night we had dinner at Latitude. You take a ferry to another island and it is DREAMY.
The added plus of renting a golf cart was being able to see all of the beautiful historic homes in Key West!
OUR ITINERARY //
COFFEE // Cuban Coffee Queen or Koffie & Friends
BRUNCH // Blue Heaven & Hot Tin Roof
DRINKS // Durty Harry’s (best Bloody Mary), Irish Kevin’s, Green Parrot, Sloppy Joe’s, Rick’s, Key West Smallest Bar, Southernmost House (cool to-go containers), Juice shop next to Sushi Song on Duval (frozen drinks in pineapples)!
SHOPPING // Shops across from Blue Heaven (The Blue Marlin), Duval Street shops, Ballerina Jewelers on Duval, Quiet Storm Surf Shop, Abuela’s (on the water and cute souvenirs for kids), and The Green Pineapple on Duval.
ACTIVITIES // Sunset sail with Sebago Watersports. Depending on what cruise you choose- drinks are included and it was so much fun! A few of the girls in our group toured Earnest Hemingway’s home and said that it was amazing and they loved the gift shop there.
DINNER // Onlywood (the best pizza I’ve ever tasted). Louie’s Backyard (ask for a table outside and reservation at sunset). Latitude (ask to sit outside and get your reservation before sunset)!
Dinners at Louie’s Backyard and Latitude were SO NICE. They were both upscale restaurants and the food was amazing as were the views! Louie’s looks out onto the ocean and Latitude's is on Sunset Key and you get to take a ferry there! Day drinking on Duval was so much fun- definitely wear comfortable shoes! There are also a lot of great Drag Show brunches in Key West but we went during pride week and everything was booked.
Overall, I’d highly recommend a Key West bachelorette party or girls trip! It was so much fun, the food was incredible, you can squeeze in so many exciting activities in one day. If you’re looking for Key West bachelorette party outfit ideas, check out this post!
