This week I showed you one item that will help you transition all of your summer tops into fall, but what about your pretty summer dresses?! Not to worry my darlings, there are lots of chic options for those too. Today I'm sharing my favorite sweater style to pair with any summer dress and giving you more options so you can transition your wardrobe into fall with ease. Let's get started, shall we?!
THINK OUTSIDE OF THE BOX
Pairing items together that you normally wouldn't is usually the best way to conquer the transition from summer to fall in style. The dress I'm wearing underneath of this Free People Crisscross sweater is actually backwards! The front neckline of the dress was too high to wear with the sweater, so I turned it around just to see what would happen and wah-la! The side slit detail of the sweater also turns out to be the perfect way to show a hint of your summer dress- it's a #winwin!

The mini dress and high low sweater combination I'm showing you today it just one of many options! Any dress length from mini to maxi can work with a crop sweater or jacket to create a flattering silhouette.
