Have you ever bought a pair of sandals because they were cute and later realized that they're incredibly unflattering?! It's happened to me more times than I'd like to admit! When shopping for sandals now, there are 3 things I look for to make sure I'm buying a pair of shoes that a) I will actually wear and b) look flattering in photos. Summertime vacations, parties, and events are full of photo ops and having the right pair of sandals is key! Keep reading for more tips and to shop over 30 pairs of flattering and affordable summer sandals!
1. NUDE IS ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA
As you can tell from the photo above, I LOVE nude or neutral sandals! Nude sandals will always make your legs look longer- who doesn't want that?! I love that there are so many blush sandals available right now too, it's a perfect alternative to nude and still super flattering! These $90 espadrilles are TO DIE FOR!

2. GLADIATOR'S ARE GLORIOUS
Gladiator sandals are super flattering because they give the illusion of height through the laces (or straps), lengthening the appearance of your legs (yes please!). Gladiators that go above the ankle, with thin and simple straps look good on everyone! If the sandals zip up the back, just make sure that the straps don't stop right at or below the fibula (the bone that sticks out on your ankle). If the sandals have straps, lace them above the fibula and make sure the straps aren't bunched together (the more skin you can see the better)!

3. GET STRAPPY WITH IT
Strappy sandals can be super flattering and also really comfortable! Just like gladiator sandals, strappy sandals can come in many shapes and sizes. Sandals with simple straps are a no-brainer and even better when they have a block heel! Caged booties in a nude or light metallic that hit above the ankle are great as well.

Everyone and their mom are wearing Golden Goose sneakers. They’re perfect for #momlife, they look cooler than your average Chuck Taylor’s, and they come in a bazilion color combinations. The only problem is that most people don’t want to spend over $500 on a pair of sneakers (myself included).
