I've shown you several ways to rock Canadian Tuxedos lately and that is because most of you have a few denim pieces already in your wardrobe. I also wanted to help you re-think ways to wear these classic pieces and offer up some style tips to help you get the most out of your closet! Today's Canadian tux is very simple, incorporates one of my spring essentials (the boyfriend shirt), and is thoughtfully accessorized with items you might already own! Here are my tips to pulling off a simple, yet sophisticated and weekend ready all-denim #ootd!
1. SEPARATE YOUR DENIM PIECES WITH A BELT
When you add a belt to your look, it will separate the denim pieces and also allow you to wear denim pieces together that are similar shades (as opposed to very dark paired with very light denim). You can go with a neutral, but for this look I loved the pop of red that also coordinated with the scarf on my bag without being too matchy-matchy.
2. ADD A POP OF COLOR WITH A SCARF ON YOUR BAG
A scarf is a great addition to any handbag and can breathe new life into your old favorites! You can also use this opportunity to add a pop of color if you chose a neutral belt. If you do go with a brightly colored belt, you can always choose a scarf that compliments your pop of color. You'll be effortlessly accessorized in seconds!
3. MIX IN STATEMENT JEWELRY
With any Canadian Tuxedo look, I love to add statement jewelry or accessories. In this look today (and here), I chose a statement necklace to compliment my look. You don't always have to choose a necklace however, rings or trend-forward sunnies like in this post here will always work too!
