Before we moved to California, I was in Cincinnati for one of my college bestie's bachelorette parties. We painted the town and had so much fun at Bunbury, a music festival that happens in Cincinnati every summer. Today I'm spilling all of the details of our fun-filled weekend including; bachelorette party decor & game ideas, things to do in The Queen City, and of course bachelorette party outfit ideas!
FUN BACHELORETTE PARTY DECOR IDEAS
We stayed in downtown Cincinnati at the Homewood Suites, so we had plenty of space for fun decor! Luckily, we had a couple of hours to get everything together before Emma showed up and our main focus of the room was the DIY bar. On the other wall in the main room, we created a champagne balloon garland that complimented the bar perfectly. Extra confetti balloons were scattered about the room and others floated on the ceiling. All of the rose gold, gold, pink, and shimmery tones made a big statement and certainly gave off a "LET'S CELEBRATE" vibe!
EASY BACHELORETTE PARTY GAMES
On Saturday afternoon before we headed to Bunbury, we played some games and the bride opened gifts. First, we played Bridal Jeopardy and it was so much fun! The group was divided into two teams and the game was played just like Jeopardy only the questions were about the bride and groom. While Emma opened gifts, she had to guess who gave the gift after opening it. It was really simple, but super fun and if she guessed correctly, that person got a small prize!
WHERE TO EAT AND WHAT TO SEE IN CINCINNATI
DINNER at Kaze: the sushi was delicious and the ambiance was fantastic for a big group!
DRINKS at Mecca: This bar has a large outdoor patio space, plays awesome music, and serves up "Chunker" drinks that are delicious.
BRUNCH at Maplewood: This place is SO GOOD. You can order mimosas while you wait in line, so it's a no-brainer for a bachelorette party in Cincinnati!
DAY DRINKS at Rhinegeist: This place has an awesome rooftop bar and a huge indoor space with cornhole and other fun games. The Bubbles cider is also TO DIE FOR!
MUSIC and DANCING at Bunbury: This music festival happens every summer in Cincinnati and is right on the river close to bars and other attractions. Just don't bring a fancy camera or you might have to sneak in (not that I would know)!
DRINKS at the Holy Grail: When we were in college, we would frequent the HG near campus, but it has since relocated. It's in a great spot and was close to our hotel!
SUMMER BACHELORETTE PARTY OUTFIT IDEAS
On Friday night, everyone got dressed up for a yummy sushi dinner since we kept it pretty casual on Saturday. Dressed up or down, Rent The Runway is a great way to get gussied up without breaking the bank! They have way more than just dresses now and this embroidered top and tassel adorned bag were perfect for the weekend. If you're looking for more ideas, check out the casual to dressy items below for both the bride and bridesmaids!
