I've gotten a lot of questions about items we're using and requests for a newborn baby must-have list. Everything in today's post is something we use every single day and highly recommended by Mr. Jones and I. Keep reading to see everything we recommend and of course more cute photos of little Jett!
1. UPPABABY MESA CARSEAT & VISTA STROLLER
The Uppababy car seat and stroller combo has been one of our most used items for outings! We LOVE the whole system. The car seat clicks into the car seat base seamlessly and it's super easy to get onto the stroller base. The Vista stroller base folds down easily, can stand up if you need it to, and the leather handle is a stylish plus! I can't recommend this system enough!
2. DOCKATOT DELUXE
We are using the DockATot as I type this! We usually put Jett in it while we are having dinner so we can keep an eye on him or while doing household chores. We have the white cover and the trendy marble version and love both! The toy arch is an awesome edition as we don't keep his play gym out all of the time. He loves to look at the toys and its so adorable!
3. LOVEVERY PLAY GYM
This play gym is so stylish which is one of the reasons I love it so much! Another reason I love it is because the mat is easy to separate from the gym portion. This is important for us because our dog Dwayne thinks we put it on the floor for him and lays on it if we keep it out. We also use the mat for tummy time and I love that it comes with a booklet that explains what and how to use based on your babies age!
4. BOPPY NURSING PILLOW
I'm exclusively breastfeeding, so our Boppy pillow gets A LOT of use! Not only is it great for nursing, but we use it to hold Jett from time to time. He's also getting big enough so he can be propped up in the pillow and he really likes that!
5. WUBBANUB PACIFIERS
So far, these are the only pacifiers Jett will take. The stuffed animal attachment is a game changer because when he's laying on his back in his crib, it helps the paci to stay in his mouth. He usually holds onto the stuffed animal and it's just the cutest thing ever!
6. ROCK N PLAY DELUXE
Jett slept in the Rock N Play every night up to 6 weeks. We then started transitioning him into his crib. The Rock N Play is in our room, so we will also put him in there if we are getting ready to go out, folding laundry, or showering.
7. PERFECT PULL WIPES DISPENSER
A friend recommended this wipes dispenser to me and IT IS AMAZING! Without it, wasting wipes is easy to do and quite annoying. It also allows you to buy wipes in bulk which saves a lot of money (and keeps you from running out)! These are the wipes we use. They come in three large ziploc type bags, so there isn't any way they'll dry up before they get used!
8. SILVERETTE NIPPLE COVERS
Like I said earlier, I'm exclusively breastfeeding and I HAVEN'T USED NIPPLE CREAM ONCE!! I've used these nipple covers since Jett was born and haven't had any nipple pain or soreness whatsoever which is just crazy! They are a game changer!
9. KEEKAROO CHANGING PAD
Let's face it, baby poo is gross and gets everywhere! Especially in the beginning when you're a new parent and learning how to quickly change a diaper in the middle of the night. That's why I love this changing pad- you just wipe it down and don't have to wash it 6 times a week because it has poo or pee on it!
10. THE OLLIE SWADDLE
This is the only swaddle we use now. It is amazing especially if you have a strong baby who can break out of other swaddles! Jett has been in this every night since we brought him home and he's busted out of it once but I'm pretty sure it was user error and we hadn't swaddled him tight enough. It's really soft on the inside and doesn't make him too hot which is important because he's a sweaty little guy!
11. TRIPLE LAYER BURP CLOTHS
I just ordered more of these because they're the only burp cloths I like. They're super soft and absorbent which is really important! Others I got at my shower are either too thin or not soft enough, that's why I love these so much.
12. BABY SHUSHER
This item came highly recommended by lots of moms and it's awesome. We used it when he was getting used to napping in his crib and now use it at nighttime so he will fall asleep in his crib.
13. MUNCHKIN STEP DIAPER PAIL
This diaper pail is AWESOME! It's super easy to use. I didn't have to read the directions which is a plus because I accidentally threw them away. The refill bags are also affordable and you can buy them in bulk on Amazon so that you don't run out- whoo!
14. NEST CAMERA/MONITOR
So far we love this camera as a baby monitor. I have an old iPhone that we use as the monitor and keep charging most of the time. We can also hook it up to our Amazon Alexa show! The quality is great and the microphone function works flawlessly.
15. ERGOBABY CARRIER
Some days, this carrier is the only way I can get anything done or take the dog out! We don't have a garage and the stroller is in my car most of the time, so having this to quickly put the baby in for a walk is a major plus. I also use it to take Jett down to the beach and with all of the steps I have to climb to get to the car, it's the best and safest way to go!
16. ZIP-UP PAJAMAS
The only thing we have with buttons are onesies- zippers are where it's at, y'all! These Beaufort Bonnet Company pajamas are my absolute favorite and the softest ever!
17. NOSE FRIDA
Jett has been a little stuffy here and there since we brought him home despite us buying a humidifier. It's not bad, but when he has a lot of boogies we use the Nose Frida to get everything out so he can breathe better! He hates it, but we love that it can be washed out and it's more sanitary than the old school version they gave us in the hospital!
18. GAS DROPS
I recently restocked on these gas drops because we use them often. Every time Jett is fussy after he's been fed and changed, these usually do the trick. He actually doesn't mind them and always swallows it and usually goes right to sleep! I bought a 3 pack so that I can have one in my diaper bag and a backup at home so we don't run out.
19. BOON SOAK 3-STAGE BATHTUB
This little bathtub can be used as they grow which is really nice. It also fits in our kitchen sink and makes bath time so convenient. Skyler always bathes Jett, it's their baby and Daddy thing and I think that's just the cutest!
20. CARSEAT COVER
A lot of people say you shouldn't take baby out until they have their shots, but 6 weeks a home just wasn't going to work for us. We've been out to restaurants, the mall, you name it and we always just cover the carseat with this cover. No one has ever bothered him although a few really nice ladies have asked to take a peek at him. I usually time our outings so that we leave right after he feeds so that he's asleep the entire time and we don't have to take him out of his carseat. So far, so good! It's also great for my car because my windows aren't really tinted, so it keeps the bright California sun out of his eyes and keeps him from waking up!
I hope you enjoyed today's post, I can't wait to share more baby updates and lifestyle content with y'all!

Haley
