Time is FLYING. Jett is already 3 months old and has changed so much since his last update! I feel like every week he is learning something new and developing the cutest little personality. He is such a happy baby and is sleeping through the night still. Keep reading for all of the details including his feeding schedule!
LIKES:
Jett loves tummy time on the Boppy pillow and has excellent head control. We barely have to hold his head anymore which is super exciting! He likes to look at toys and “talk” back to you while he’s doing tummy time as well.
He still loves his Lovevery play gym and has started to bat at the toys! He gets a surprised look on his face when he hits the toy with the bell and it’s so adorable.
He loves “dancing” while we play music on our phones. Skyler holds his little arms out and bounces him around and he gets the biggest smile on his face. We live for his smiles they are the best!
He still loves sitting up and now tries to sit up straight when you’re holding him! He will push his head down and rock forward like, “hey I want to sit up straight!” Sometimes we will hold his hands and he will do baby “sit ups” and it’s so hilarious. He also loves to stand up/hold all of his weight on his legs.
DISLIKES:
Pretty much the same as last month (again-ha!). He hates when we use the Nose Frida and wipe his nose. He used to get startled when Dwayne barked at the UPS man, but now that doesn’t even bother him. He is very mellow to say the least.
MILESTONES:
At 9 weeks, Jett and I flew to Kentucky! We had a connection in DFW on the way there and the way back and he did SO GOOD. On our very first flight, he started crying when I sat down and this sweet flight attendant asked if she could hold him and he immediately stopped crying. She then took him to the back of the plane and held him while the flight boarded-ha! Other than projectile vomiting all over both of us on our last flight on the way there and on the way back, he was a perfect angel and we had SO MUCH FUN!
Jett has started to make a lot more noise and responds with cute little sounds when you talk to him. It’s the best.
Another milestone worth noting is that he now smiles up at me when I go to get him out of his crib! Even if he’s been crying when I lean over and say, “GOOD MORNING!” he gives me the biggest smile. My heart melts every single time!
He still loves his play gym and is now grabbing at the toys! At first he started hitting them kind of on accident, but now he’s more coordinated enough to touch them! It’s interesting because he always grabs the bell toy with his left hand, so I’ll be interested to see if he’s a lefty like his daddy!
SLEEP:
We are still doing a dream feed at 11pm and he’s sleeping through the night (10-11 hours total). Last month he would wake up sometimes around 3 or 4am and I would give him a pacifier and turn on his shusher. This month he’s kind of stopped doing that and if he wakes up at all he lets out a few little cries and goes right back to sleep. Hooray!
He is now sleeping in the Love to Dream Swaddle Up swaddle and will soon transition to their 50/50 swaddle when he starts to roll over.
As for daytime naps, he typically naps for 45 minutes to an hour(ish) after each feed. I'll feed him and we play for 30-45 minutes and then he'll go down for a nap in his crib. We love the Lovevery play gym for play time but I think he is almost ready for an activity center!
EAT:
During the day, he breastfeeds at 7 or 7:30am, 10:00am, 12:30pm, 3:00pm, 5:30pm, and 8:00pm. At 11:30pm he gets a bottle for his dream feed. We're up to 5 ounces now and he loves the Comotomo bottles. I plan on phasing out the dream feed when he starts eating solids around 6 months. Next month will be very different as he is starting daycare!
I think that about covers everything that we've been up to for the past month! Let me know if you have any questions in the comments. Thanks for stopping by today, y'all!

Haley
