This is my second time wearing a high waisted bikini and they are so amazing! I couldn't just keep this secret to myself, so today I wanted to let you in on some of the reasons why a high waisted bikini should be #1 on your summer (or spring break) shopping list!Read More
It's no secret that I'm a sucker for flare jeans! I've worn them a lot in the past (here & here) but the length was much longer and required my tallest booties. This pair from the Gap came in a short length and were the perfect fit with these splendid booties, making them perfect for an afternoon of frolicking around on country roads with my sister Karly!
I spent a lot of time in Kentucky over the last month and boy, do I miss it already! The weather was absolutely perfect and it was so fun to go out and explore with my sister or mom to take blog photos. Some days, we would just drive around until we stumbled upon the perfect spot for photos and it was so much fun! I know not everyone has a reason to run around taking photos, but my point is that life is an adventure, and sometimes not knowing where you are going is what makes life worth living!
For my second installment of Thanksgiving outfit inspiration, I stuck with the flowy top, stretchy skinny jean formula. I've tried a tailored top and skinny cords in year's past, and it wasn't the best "eat whatever you want" ensemble. This Free People top is on sale (whoohoo!) and would also look great with this black and white checked cardigan. I absolutely love these destroyed jeans from Zara too, they have the perfect amount of stretch and the rips aren't too revealing.
The holidays are always crazy, but this year I'm determined to stay on track with my health and fitness routines. My sister is getting married in Mexico in February, so my beach bod needs to be in tip top shape! One way I stick with this regimen is by carrying my BKR water bottle everywhere with me. It keeps me hydrated and the fact that it's cute is a plus! I will also be traveling a lot this year and Alexa Jean's workouts are perfect because they can be done almost anywhere! You don't need any equipment and can do most of the workouts in a small space.
With that said, I will be indulging a little bit on Turkey Day. I've made these Apple Dumplings a couple of times and will probably be whipping them up again this year. They're pretty easy to make and taste absolutely delicious, kind of like miniature apple pies- yum!
This year has flown by and I cannot believe that Thanksgiving is next week! Since it's getting so close to Turkey Day, I decided to put together some looks that are cute, cozy, and suitable for overeating! This comfy cardigan is super soft and I love the Aztec pattern (and it's on sale)! I paired it with my favorite flowy tank from Free People and stretchy skinny jeans. Comfortable layers are perfect for when you're feeling a little stuffed and ready for a nap because let's face it, a little snooze will likely occur after eating all of that turkey (and pecan pie)!
Next I need to figure out what I'm cooking, any suggestions?!
This fall is all about rich wine colored clothing and accessories. Whether you just have a pop of Marsala or wear it from head to toe, both will pair nicely with a glass of red! It also happens to be a beautiful nail color, I love Sally Hansen's 'wine stock' Miracle Gel nail polish. I'm also eyeing this Rebecca Minkoff tote in a delicious shade of 'port,' I just can't get enough of this seasons it color. Cheers!
In honor of Throwback Thursday, I wanted to share some photos from my younger brother's wedding on June 6th. The wedding venue, Polo Barns at Saxony, is in Lexington, Kentucky and it was absolutely beautiful. I am so happy to have another fabulous sister. Congratulations Mick and Kelly, I wish you a lifetime of happiness and laughter!
Not all photos are my own, thank you to all of my friends and family that shared their memories!
I've officially been in Seattle for four days! Before the big move, I spent two magical weeks in Kentucky with my family. My little brother got married, my little sister got engaged, and we all spent a weekend at Lake Cumberland. Needless to say, I'm missing my family a lot right now.
I'm also missing Nashville, which is why I thought it would be perfect to blog about Doxahlogy again! Their jewelry is just the right mix of edgy and beautiful, much like Music City. Check out more Doxahlogy gems here!

Nashville might be known for country music and honky tonks, but there are also really great designers here! Doxahlogy is a unique line of jewelry handmade right here in Music City. Danica creates unique pieces using vintage finds and gorgeous natural stones that I just can't get enough of. Who doesn't love supporting local artists and small businesses? The best part is that you can order online from her site here! Happy Friday!

It's finally starting to feel like summer and I couldn't be happier. My favorite tops for warm weather are usually Free People; they always carry lightweight, flowy, and effortless tanks like this one from Nordstrom Rack. I also can't get enough of Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri nail polish! It dries so fast and comes in so many shades. The one I'm wearing today is called "Set Sail" and is perfect for summer!
